Florida

Trip and I went to Florida for 10 days with Jeni, Kal, and my mom. We got to see my sister Rachel, her bf Sean, and her friend Erin for a few days too. It was so nice being in warm weather and letting Trip be outside a lot! He loved the pool, taking multiple walks everyday, crawling on the beach, crawling around everywhere, and getting soooo dirty! We nicknamed him Dirty Birdie because his hands and knees were black most of the time! We had a blast with everyone and the time went by so fast. Kal was pretty sick for the last week of the trip and it was so sad. Poor guy had to stay inside for most of the days. Trip is still really into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and giggles everytime it comes on. I forgot the DVD for the DVD player on the flight down. I had the player, but no movie! We picked one up for the trip home and it helped a lot! Trip is really great flying, this was his 7th vacation since he was born. Kelsey says we are quite the travelers, but I figure while he is free...get some vacations in!

The Big Haircut

We took Trip to get his first haircut a few weeks ago. He went to dada's barbershop (Roosters Mens Grooming Center) and had his haircut by Brit. She was so cute and said what an honor it was cutting his hair for the first time. He was a little squirmy the whole time, but we got it done. He looked really different to us after the cut...a lot more grown up! He had to sit on my lap while dada entertained and took pictures! We were able to get a lot of hair to save for his first haircut container. (Kels thought this whole idea of saving hair was weird...I told him it was a must, that I had a little jar and everything for it)

Pre Haircut Pictures

Here are a few pictures from early this spring before we took Trip in for his 1st haircut. Looking back at these makes me laugh and think why did we wait so long?? Of course he is adorable with his shaggy hair, but the haircut (pictures to follow) looks so cute. He loves Starbucks cups (mama maybe goes there a little too often for a chai tea), enjoys the park down the street from us on nice days, and the last picture is a pacifier our friends Ashley and Jake got for their little girl Ella as a joke and the pictures of them with it in are hilarious.

Birthday (2/21/09)

Here is a few late pictures from Trip's first birthday. He loved his cake...a little too much as we had to take it away from him after 15 minutes. I am afraid he has his mama's sweet tooth, but thankfully looks like dada's metabolism. My sister Rachel (Trip's godmom) surprised us and came home for the weekend. Trip loves his Aunt Rara.
