Almost 1

Scary! My baby is almost 1 (5 more days)! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Kels and I absolutely love being parents and we feel so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful little man. Trip is a joy and I love being home with him. I am very thankful that Kels works so hard for us, so I can be with Trip everyday. I wouldn't change a thing! We are having a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party on Saturday, then Sunday we are off to Palm Springs, CA for 6 days! How lucky am I?? Kels is excited about some golfing and Trip and I can't wait to hit the pool! The winter here has been awful, so getting to some warmer weather will be awesome. Well, since it's almost Trip's birthday I am going to list a few of his favorite things right now:

*When dada gets home from work
*climbing over Canusa (and everything else)
*pulling up to everything
*getting into everything
*Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Baby Einstien On the Farm
*Dancing with Kal to Micheal Jackson
*Foods he can feed himself (especially chicken)
*Apple Juice
*mama's cellphone
*sitting in the car with mama and turning the radio up and down
*uncle Bob (Robby)
*throwing everything off the bottom shelf in the pantry
*cuddling (a little) before bed, lately he is too much of a wiggle worm
*his blankies

I am sure there are so many others, but I need to attach some pictures before he wakes up from his nap!!

Christmas Eve

This was at Christmas Eve dinner at my Aunt and Uncles house. Dinner was awesome as usual. We had such a fun time hanging out with my family. Trip is really into eating anything we are eating and loves to grunt at us until we give him some. He really likes turkey, chicken, potatoes, and bananas. Sweets too of course just like his mom:)

A little late Halloween picture

The first picture is of the three of us trick or treating at my parents house with Kal, Jeni, Papa, and the Grasso's. Trip really liked watching all of the other kids running around in costume. We took Trip to Crossroads Village with Jeni and Kal for some trick or treating. I know this picture is really late, but we don't get very many pictures of the three of us. Trip was a kangaroo and had a lot of fun on Halloween. Mama enjoyed it because I got to eat all of his candy!!

Time Flies

It is so hard to believe that this picture was taken exactly 7 months ago, four days after Trip was born! I love that my baby is growing up, but so sad at how fast time goes by. I feel so blessed everytime I look at Trip and I can't believe how lucky I am to have such a wonderful little boy. Trip has never cried when anyone left the room or anything like that until the other night when Kels got home. I was reading to Trip in the rocker and Kels came home and into the room, talked to Trip, then had to get a drink. Trip started sobbing as soon as Kels was out of eyesight and didn't stop until he came back into the room. Then it was all giggles right away! I thought he was a mama's boy, but I think that is changing!!

Summer is coming to an end:(

We are so sad here in the Tomyn house that summer is dwindling down. We have had a nice few days of weather, but it doesn't look like it will stay long. We have had a busy few weeks (well busy for me)! We went to Canada to visit Kelsey's family and our friends. The time always goes by so fast and we didn't see everyone we would have liked to! Trip got to spend some time with our friends babies (Parker, Annalise, and Rowan). It was a lot of fun seeing them together at the different ages. Trip has two teeth so far with a third about to pop up. He wasn't much of a sleeper before the teething, now it seems to be a little worse. I figure if sleeping is the worst of our issues then we are ok!! Trip's cousin Kal is having a superhero birthday party this weekend, so I will post some pictures next week of that!! There is going to be a Superman bouncehouse! I put a picture of Kelsey and I up too! This was taken in Canada on a boat cruise for a friends birthday!

Trip is 6 months old!

Trip is officially 6 months old today. Time flies! I can't believe our little boy is growing up so fast. It makes me a little sad :( Trip is such a joy and definitely the brightest part of our day. He has been eating baby food for a few weeks now and loves all fruits (even prunes) ! The vegetables are a different story...he will eat sweet potatoes (like mama) and some squash, but anything else he pretends to "fake" gag on it. It is such a crack up. He has one little, sharp tooth on bottom with another coming in beside it. He has only bit me once while nursing and it HURT!! I am hoping that it was a one time thing. Trip was baptized at the end of July and didn't cry until it was picture time at the end. He is a screamer! His new thing is screaming, whether he is happy or sad, screaming. Kels and I just laugh, which makes him scream more. Trip is very tickleish too! Pretty much everywhere and just giggles when you tickle him. He still very much enjoys all types of water. He has taken a real interest in Canusa too. He follows her with his eyes all around the room. She will come up and lick him everywhere and he tries to grab her. I told Kels once Trip is snacking on everything and leaving bits everywhere, Canusa is going to be his shadow!! We went to visit our friends, the Currie's, in Texas last week and had a blast. I will post some of those pictures this week. Avery, Brent, Brynn (2 yrs.) and Camdyn (3 mos.) are all doing great. It is hard having them so far away. Come to think of it most of our good friends live far away:( Trip is a joy and I love being a mom. He is my little best friend. I couldn't ask for anything more. By the way, Kels was Club Champion at Flint Golf Club this year (78-78-75). I told him if he kept it up maybe he should get his pro card, qualify for some tournaments, place in the money making spots, and retire. If only life were that easy...We hope to see everyone sometime soon!!!

A Few of Trip's Favorite Things

Trip has a lot of things he enjoys, but I am just posting a few pictures of what I have caught on camera. He LOVES water! The bath, lake, pool, a stream, whatever type of water it is he loves it. He really loves when dada holds him in the water and lets him walk. The first picture is Kels and Trip at my parents lakehouse in the water. The itsy-bitsy spider is his favorite song with hand motions!! Aunt Jeni and Kal sing it to him and he cries when they stop. There is a picture of them mid song and you can see how much he loves it. We are not positive if he likes boat rides yet, check out the lifejacket pic and let us know what you think:) Here are a few things Trip enjoys:

*grabbing anything ang putting it in his mouth
*dada time
*walks with mama in the baby bjorn (not a big fan of the stroller yet)
*watching Kal dance
*watching Canusa roam around the house
*laying under his playmat
*when mama reads him stories
*being rocked by mama or dada
*being tickled on his legs and feet

There are so many more that change daily! I am going to try to start being better about blogging more often. Kelsey and I love being parents and we couldn't ask for anything more!!
